If I Were Darkness

You’d finally see me
But you wouldn’t have all of me this time
I’d be able to rest
And dance as a shadow near a flame
Because my soul would be unburdened
And my hands washed of this damned spot
I’d fill every cavity and crevice of your body
To suffocate you and let you know that
You’re drowning in loneliness too
Then I’d leave as quickly as I came
Without uttering any sort of goodbye
